This comic is part of an Anthology comic book called Dire Beasts, organized by Chasing Artwork who invited different artists to create 1 story that includes a monster.

This was a great opportunity to use one of those ideas that you constantly revisit to add something new, becoming endless until you have to transform it into a solid project. I’ve envisioned this story to be longer but the format of the book forced me to fit it into a 10 pages comic which I’m really happy with the result.

I loved having the chance to tell a story that people can relate to and also reimagine something from my culture as well, adding a twist to it to make it fresh and being able to do something that fits in the genre of suspense and horror.

What I bring from my Costa Rican culture are the stone spheres, an archeological discovery of almost perfectly round spheres that weight 15 tons made before the Spanish conquest, my story approach what can be under some of those stones! Hope you like it!
